CHI Inc., an oilfield services company in Jennings, has 20 people riding out the storm at its U.S. 90 East building. Generators are providing power. It's so crowded, however, that some of the people are holed up in the sleeping sections of 18-wheeler cabs there. One of them called his friend Ronnie Williams of Jennings, who is in Baton Rouge right now. "It is bad," he told Williams.
