yThanks for the incredible job you are doing. I envision the day when there will be a site where outsiders to the area can see the list of streets/areas the police/fire have driven through and where a cry for help was reported.
It's tough to be there, and it's tough to be here. What is happening to my sister and her husband? There must be thousands of cries like mine, I have been to the web sites (TV, newspaper, etc.) Wonder if we cannot tie to a directory where outsiders like me can look up a number or address and see whether help was requested or not.
I want to come there, but if the locals cannot get back in, what can an outsider to.

I hope we can generate a lot of good ideas with solutions for communicating all this... there has to be a better way.

Bless you all.

It was reported that Mayor Roach said,"REGISTER YOUR FAMILY FOR FEMA TODAY AND THERE WILL BE MONEY ON THE WAY IN 24 HOURS."

Well, I registered online and got an answer that said someone from FEMA would set up an appointment with me to check out my damaged propertry to see if I qualify....

Heck, I am stuck out of town with no money, (my CU did not open on thursday morning when the Mayor called for evacuation) no permission to come back home and my Credit Union does not have ATM access... Can someone let me know what the Mayor was talking about?
