9 p.m. update

The Calcasieu Sheriff's Office reported that an 18-wheeler truck is laid over on the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge. Chief Deputy Gary ''Stich'' Guillory reported that deputies were handling the call and that the driver was not injured.

He added that deputies are spread out across the parish — in Sulphur, DeQuincy and Moss Bluff — and ''nobody goes out until the thing blows through.''

Guillory said that Westlake Police has abandoned its building because they consider it ''unstable.'' They are now operating out of the Pentecostal church on Sampson Street.
